During the summer of 2012 as part of the activities organized around the XII meeting of Iberian arachnologists, two  semi-quantitative COBRA inventories were conducted in the Can Jordà volcano, located at the Natural Park of the Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa, Catalonia.

Sampling was conducted at a sharp ecotone:  two contiguous plots were located side by side, one at a northern slop on a beech forest (Fagus sylvatica) and the second one on the southern slope, in a mixed Holm oak-tree forest (Quercus ilex).
